3.2 Handicaps: Tournament
handicaps of golfers will be derived using New New
Peoria Handicap system.
New New Peoria Handicap = [Gross score of 12 holes (after randomly removing scores from 6
holes) x 1.5 – 72 (level par score of 18 holes)] x 80%.
When calculating the New New Peoria
handicap, the tournament committee has established a ruling for maximum strokes
allowed per hole as follows:
Par 3: Maximum Stroke – 5
Par 4: Maximum Stroke – 7
Par 5: Maximum Stroke – 9
Note:
Tournament handicaps derived for players below 0 will be rounded off to 0.
Tournament handicaps derived for players above 28.4 will be rounded off to
28.4.
This is to facilitate derivation of Stableford
points, and with rounding-off method.

The first customer in Open Net Handicap Category who
purchased a Porsche car, delegate vehicle owner as: i).
him/herself; ii). Participants' immediate family members (spouses/parents and
children); iii). Company car, and only the participant is the legal
representative self is eligible for participating in the "China
Final" or “Porsche Challenge”.
Qualification
Definition:
§ If one is the champion of Open Net Handicap Category, he or she will be
eligible for China Final tournament;
§
If one is not the champion but the first Porsche
vehicle buyer of Open Net Handicap Category, he or she will be eligible for Porsche
Challenge tournament.
Definition
of vehicle pick-up time:
§ The deadline for qualifying events held before 1st October is 31st October,
2023;
§ The deadline for qualifying events held after 1st October is 1st November,
2023.
4.5 Longest
Drive: Tee shot that ends up furthest from the respective tees and within the
fairway will be deemed the winner. Separate awards for Men’s and Ladies.
4.6 Nearest-the-Line:
Tee shot that lands furthest from the tee and closest to the line drawn in the
center of the fairway will be deemed the winner. Separate awards for Men’s and
Ladies.
4.7 Nearest-the-Pin:
Tee shot that ends up closest to the hole upon landing on the green will be
deemed the winner.
4.8 Best
Approach: The golfer whose ball lands on the green and closest to the hole
after second shot will be deemed the winner.
4.9 Hole-in-One:
The first golfer (Regardless of gender) who achieves a Hole-in-One at the
designated Hole will be the winner. Winners need to pay the appropriate taxes.
Hole-in-One prize will not be segregated between Men’s and Ladies.
5. Tournament
Regulations
5.1 The
participants should be Porsche China car owners or other invited guests. Must
be at least 21 years old.
5.2 Only Porsche car registered
owners will be allowed to win the “Standard Prizes”. Players must be registered
owners of Porsche which purchased in the Chinese Mainland or Chinese Hong Kong &
Macau.
5.3 In the event any substitute
player is found, the Porsche car registered owners’ qualification will be
cancelled from all Porsche-related competition for the rest of the year, as
well as have to return the winning prizes (if any), and the relevant
participation fees (if any) will not be refunded.
5.4 Professional golfers or golf
coaches are allowed to participate in the event but are not eligible to win any
prizes.
5.5 The Porsche Golf Cup 2023 will be
conducted based upon the latest golf tournament rules from the R&A Rules
Limited and The United States Golf Association. Local rules of golf course will
also apply.
5.6 Participants will have to
hole out on every green (No OK Balls are allowed) or participants will be
disqualified. This rule will not apply in application to the rule of “Maximum
Strokes per Hole” which addresses the maximum strokes allowed at each hole in
the interest of maintaining a proper pace of play.
5.7
All flight pairings and caddie arrangements will be organized by the
organizing committee.
5.8 Groupings will be finalized 2
days prior to the tournament. Changes to flight or caddie arrangements on the
day of the tournament will not be entertained and participants who do so on
their own will be disqualified.
5.9 Winners of the Porsche Golf Cup
2020, 2021, and 2022 qualifying tournaments may play but will not be eligible for
winning the “Standard Prizes” in the Porsche Golf Cup 2023.
5.10 If the player participated in the
2020, 2021, and 2022 China Final of the Porsche Golf Cup, he/she may play but
will not be eligible to win the “Standard Prizes” in the Porsche Golf Cup 2023.
5.11 If the winner of the Porsche Golf
Cup 2023 Qualifying Tournament by any chance are not available to participate
in China Final, the next highest placer shall be invited, and so on. i.e., If
Champion cannot attend the China Final, the Runner-up shall be invited to play.
5.12 One player and one VIN number is
eligible as the car owner player ONLY ONCE in the qualifying tournament of
Porsche Golf Cup 2023. Players may play in subsequent tournaments but will not
be entitled to win any prizes, participation qualification is subject to the Porsche
Centres’ decision of each tournament.
5.13 Participants will only be eligible
to participate in one qualifying tournament of Porsche Golf Cup per year.
Participants may play in subsequent tournaments but will not be entitled to win
any prizes, participation qualification is subject to the Porsche Centres’ decision of each tournament.
5.14 The same company allows up to 2
Porsche vehicles (based on the vehicle VIN number) to participate in the
qualifying tournament; Within a year, each vehicle's VIN number and player
(company legal representative or shareholder) can only participate in one
qualifying competition as the car owner. Afterwards, players (this company) may play in subsequent tournaments but
will not be entitled to win any prizes, participation qualification is subject
to the Porsche Centres’ decision of each tournament.
5.15 When players participate in the
Porsche Golf Cup tournaments including Qualifying, China Final,
World Final competition,
Porsche China and Porsche Centres indemnifies all claims if they receive any
award over the limitation of Rules of Golf Amateur Status, may lose their
amateur status.
5.16 All participants of the Porsche
Golf 2023 indemnify Porsche China, Porsche Centres,
and their sponsors from all claims against third party damages that may occur
at qualifying tournaments, China Final and World Final.
5.17 Acceptance of invitations to attend
the Porsche Golf Cup 2023 is taken as consent to use participants’ names and
photographic references for publicity purposes.
6. Scoring
6.1 All
participants will be required to exchange scorecards before the commencement of
the tournament. Cards will be exchanged in the manner as follows: Player A
scores for Player B, Player B scores for Player C, Player C scores for Player
D, Player D scores for Player A. All score cards must be signed by both the
player and the scorer prior to submission to the referee.
6.2 Participants
need to submit their completed and signed scorecards to the referee upon
returning to the clubhouse. All scores are deemed final upon submission.
Unsigned scorecards will result in disqualification.
6.3 When
players sign for their scorecards and Novelty Hole flags, players’ signature
must be clear. If the signature cannot be recognized, the awarding
qualification will be cancelled.
6.4 Tournament
results are deemed final once displayed on the score board.
7. Punctuality
Participants must be punctual and must arrive early to play at the
tournament. Participants who arrive late at the tee will be allowed to play in
the tournament only upon approval of the referee. Scores of these
participants will not count towards their tournament ranking.
8. Pace
of Play
The
referee will provide on-course supervision to ensure smooth pace of play.
Warnings will be issued to flights or individuals who are deemed to be playing
at a pace that is too slow. Participants issued a warning by the referee will
have to speed up play accordingly. If participants do not adhere to the issued
warnings, referees may time players accordingly. If participants take longer
than 40 seconds to strike a ball, they will be deemed to have committed slow
play once.

will commence when it is participant’s turn to play.
9. Maximum
Strokes per Hole
In the interest of ensuring smooth pace of play, the tournament committee
has established a ruling for maximum strokes allowed per hole as follows:
Par 3: Maximum Stroke – 7; After 7 strokes, the player must pick up the
ball and move on.
Par 4: Maximum Stroke – 9; After 9 strokes, the player must pick up the
ball and move on.
Par 5: Maximum Stroke – 11; After 11 strokes, the player must pick up the
ball and move on.
Note:
Participant
must stop playing and pick up the ball, move to the next hole immediately, once
he reaches the maximum stroke limit and has not holed out. The score of this
hole calculated as the maximum stroke score of the hole.
10. Inclement
Weather and Termination of Play
10.1 In the occurrence of
inclement weather (heavy rain, lightning, and thunderstorms) the referee may
deem conditions unfit for play and all participants will have to stop play as
follows:
In between holes: Participants will be required to stop play
immediately and will be allowed to resume play upon notification by referees.
During
play at a particular hole: Participants may choose to stop play immediately or
upon completion of hole.
10.2 The indication
for termination of tournament play due to dangerous conditions will be a single long
blow of the horn.
Indication for termination of play due to other circumstances:
Stop Play: 3 continuous long blows of the horn.
Resume Play: 2 short blows of the horn.
10.3 If all participants
complete 9 holes, an aggregate of gross scores of 9 holes will be used to
arrive at winners of the following category:
§ Men’s Group Champion, Runner-up, Second Runner-up
§ Ladies’ Group Champion, Runner-up, Second Runner-up
§ Open Group Champion
§ No other novelty prize will be awarded with exception of the Hole-in-One
prize
10.4 In the event of
inclement weather and all participants complete at least 9 holes, following
winners will advance to Porsche Golf Cup 2023 China Final.

§ Men’s Group Runner-up
§ Ladies’ Group Champion
10.5 In the event of a tie: The
participant with the highest of stableford scores
over 9 holes will be the winner. If the scores are the same, the decision will
be made by lucky draw. The lucky draw will be carried out by the event director
in the presence of judges and Porsche Centre event managers.
10.6 If all
participants have not completed even 9 holes due to inclement weather, the
competition will be postponed, or the winner will be drawn in lots from each
group. The organizing committee of the event holds the final right of
interpretation. The event organizing committee is composed of the presiding
judge, event director, local golf club representatives, and Porsche Centre
representatives who attended the event on that day.
The final interpretation right includes but is not limited: the situation
where the player completes the number of holes on the playing field (objective
conditions, damage to the field, water accumulation in the sand pit. Weather is
thunderstorm, heavy rain makes it impossible to play, resulting in the
inability to play). The organizing committee of the event will decide on the
form of lucky draw and the winner's decision based on the situation on that day.
11. Resolution
of Conflicts
If disputes arise due to ruling, golfers will need to raise this instantly
or no later than 10 minutes upon completion of tournament (counting from time
of return of the last golfer participating in tournament) with referees onsite.
Complaints made pertaining to ruling upon announcement of results and prize
presentation will not be entertained.
All judgment and ruling made by the referee on-site are final. If all
referees are not readily accessible on-site, golfers may raise questions
regarding tournament ruling or disputes to members of the organizing committee
instantly. Judgment made by the tournament organizing committee will be final.
12. In
the Event of a Tie
Net Stableford Standard Prizes:
Based upon tournament handicaps derived by New New
Peoria, participants with the lowest net score will be the winner.
In the event of a tie, the participant with a lower score derived from
results of the back 9 (holes 10 to 18) will be the winner.
If a
tie persists, winners will be derived based upon the net scores of individual
holes, counting back from Hole 18. The participant with a lower score will be
the winner.
If a
tie keep persists, winner will be derived based upon lucky draw performed by
tournament director in front of the referee, witnessed by the person-in-charge
from the Porsche Centre.
